Mario San Miguel is a freelance director and cinematographer based out of San Francisco, CA. He is the founder of Hideout 19, a full service video production house and the associate producer of Under the Canvas, a web series.
At his core he is a problem solver with a passion to create films that connect emotionally while delivering an impactful experience. From pre-production, to set direction, and post-production of the final product, he weaves intricate stories, stunning visuals and music in a cinematic way. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked for various production houses and boutique full-service Ad agencies. His short documentary, Marcie’s Story won the internationally acclaimed 2014 Davey Silver Award and 2015 Telly Bronze Award. Mario’s latest short film, Saving Coco, helped Marin Humane raise more donations than any other film featured in it’s past Galas.
His goal: Collaborate with film makers to produce films that connect on an emotional level and inspire others to help create a positive change in the world.
His passions: Family, sour patch kids, good coffee, great bourbon and collaboration with passionate people.
